| I spent about a week photographing this family of polar bears in the Boreal Forest of Manitoba. Over an extended period of time this polar bear mother and her cubs became increasingly more friendly and eventually a limited trust for me was established. This trust allowed me to get close enough to produce some interesting images. An international marquee for the awareness of global warming, the polar bear in Western Hudson Bay will be an important indicator species for the effects of Global Warming. I could think of no better reason to present this animal close up and personal. |
