Polar Ice Cubes

Limited Edition

Print Run - 1000

During spring breakup Churchill comes alive with the veritable cawing, cooing and screeching when many different shore birds returning to nest. In the evening a mellow calmness can prevail enabling one to capture serene and relaxing moments.

These iceberg slabs formed a unique pressure ridge in Hudson Bay. The sun had just set below the horizon and I could hear the melting droplets of water coming from the ice.The sunset glowed with a pink band of light which was accentuating the clear polar sky.

Global climate change has made iceberg scenes like this more difficult to capture, increased global temperature’s correlate to less and thinner ice in the arctic and Hudson Bay. The polar ice cap is melting at a rapid pace and much needs to be known of its effects on the planet and man.
